Manuscript Formatting (Structure, Citations)

Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) format using the official template. The recommended structure follows the IMRaD model:

  • Title page — title, authors, affiliations, corresponding author email, ORCID iDs.
  • Abstract — 200–300 words, unstructured, no citations.
  • Keywords — 4 to 6 keywords separated by commas.
  • Introduction · Methods · Results · Discussion · Conclusion.
  • References — APA 7th edition; DOIs required where available.
  • Figures & Tables — embedded in-line, plus high-resolution (≥300 dpi) source files.

Use Times New Roman 12 pt, double-spaced, numbered lines, A4 page size.

Submission Process

  1. Create a corresponding-author account and verify your email.
  2. Upload your manuscript and supplementary files via the submission portal.
  3. Suggest 3 potential reviewers (optional but recommended).
  4. Editorial screening within 5 business days.
  5. Double-blind peer review — typical first decision in 4–6 weeks.
  6. Revision, acceptance, copy-editing, and online publication with DOI.

All submissions are acknowledged within 24 hours of receipt.

Article Processing Charges (APC: ₹0)

Zero APC for Founding Authors

Aperture Papers does not charge any article processing or submission fees to its founding cohort of authors. All accepted manuscripts are published open access under CC BY 4.0 at no cost to the author.

There are no hidden charges — no colour figure fees, no page charges, no submission fees.
